I want my students to feel that their language is welcome in my classroom and will help support their reading skills. Description: I absolutely love this image as it represents students from different backgrounds. This picture shows how everyone comes from different cultural backgrounds and each individual is different. This can be a fun activity where students can match their skin color with paint instead of using regular colored paint. When I become a teacher I would love to hang this up in my classroom.

Description: This is a sugar skull craft from Day of the Dead. I chose this craft because I think this is a good way to introduce this holiday to children as they learn more about it. Multicultural artwork should be included in the curriculum for young learners to learn more about different holidays and traditions.
